Each of these colorful pillows covers is created from antique Peruvian mantas. Mantas are traditionally used as carrying cloths by Quechua women as a way to carry items such as food, firewood, and other goods to and from markets, or by mothers to carry their children on their back. These pieces have been re-purposed by artisans in the Cuzco region of Peru to create the beautiful pieces that you see here.
All of our manta pillow covers feature rich, vibrant colors, making them the perfect piece to add a splash of bohemian color to any corner of your home! We love styling them traditionally on a bed or couch, or adding them to hammock to create a colorful space to relax during the warmer months.
